If you haven’t before purchased PurityPlus® specialty gases – or you’re purchasing a PurityPlus® gas from Wright Brothers that you haven’t used before – you’ll have to make certain you’ve got the right regulator for the application at hand. Of course, whatever the application, you can’t beat PurityPlus® regulators. They’re built to tremendously precise criteria of pressure control, which is utterly essential to the safety and productiveness of your work. Not sure which regulator is most appropriate for you – or how to go about finding it? Wright Brothers will be happy to help. Any Cincinnati customer, though, no matter their experience, will find it easier to figure out which regulator they need by following the advice provided and reviewing the pertinent product pages in the PurityPlus® Specialty Gases & Equipment Catalog. Give it a good going over before you talk with us, at least to get an idea of what options are available to you.

While the catalog furnishes explicit information on every PurityPlus® regulator available, a concise overview of the line might be in order to get you started:

  • Is the gas or liquid you’re working with corrosive or non-corrosive? PurityPlus® supplies regulators built for safe use with one or the other. Its brass regulators, of either forged-body or barstock construction, are consonant with most non-reactive gases. If you’re applying avery corrosive gas in its anhydrous form, you’ll need one of the PurityPlus® regulators made of exceptionally corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel. As a lightweight, economical alternative to stainless steel when only lightly corrosive gases are used, PurityPlus® also offers regulators made of aluminum.
  • A broad selection of single-stage regulators and dual-stage regulators is supplied as well. Single-stage regulators, which reduce cylinder pressure in one step to deliver pressure within a limited range, are best applied in applications where a constant delivery pressure isn’t strictly necessary. Applications that do demand a constant delivery pressure are best served by dual-stage regulators, which maintain constant outlet pressure over the life of the cylinder.
  • PurityPlus® offers specially designed regulators, too – with its 400 and 455 series, in particular – for those odd occasions when a standard single- or dual-stage regulator isn’t satisfactory. Those largely would be applications necessitating the use of abnormally corrosive gases or extremely high pressures.
  • You’ll also find cylinder connections in the PurityPlus® catalog that fall in line with all worldwide standards. Good thing, too, because …

PurityPlus® specialty gas regulators find universal acceptance in laser gas systems, gas chromatography, aerospace endeavors, welding, high-performance purification systems, water-pressure reduction, engineering and gas management, and onsite gas generation, just to name a smattering of applications. You can trust that Wright Brothers will have the PurityPlus® the regulator you need. Just follow the simple, step-by-step selection and ordering process presented in the catalog. And, as we said above, if you still need help in making your choice, you can always bank on Wright Brothers, right here in Cincinnati, to provide it.
